This lecture will give an insight into architectural engineering in the late Middle Ages and Early Modern period.
With a focus on complex Late Gothic vaults, David Wendland will explore how intricate meshes of stone ribs were designed, how the structural behaviour was conceived, and how the information flow from design to execution was achieved.
