14 Mar to 15 Jun

The deadline for entries is 17.00 on Friday 15th June 2018.

One of the most commonly-heard complaints from engineers in the U.K. is that they do not receive due recognition for the vital role they play in creating the world around us. This is certainly true, which is why, when an opportunity to showcase engineers’ achievements does arise, it is imperative that it be taken.

The British Engineering Excellence Awards – or BEEAs – represent exactly such an opportunity.

Founded in 2009, the BEEAs were devised to shine a spotlight on the hitherto hidden heroes of engineering design. In the nine years they have been in existence, they have served to recognise the achievements of innovators across a multitude of industries and disciplines throughout the U.K. In doing so, they have helped set the benchmark to which both contemporary and future engineers must aspire.

Supported by the UK’s two leading design engineering titles – Eureka! and New Electronics – the BEEAs have shown again and again that U.K. engineering is creating and offering world-class products and services. I have no doubt 2018’s crop of entries will prove no exception.

This is why I strongly encourage anyone reading this who believes they, their company or colleagues have recently achieved an engineering feat worthy of wider recognition to enter it into the British Engineering Excellence Awards here.

If you do, I look forward to celebrating with you on 4th October at Venues County Hall, London.

Good luck with your entries.
